Poker Player of the Year Update

by February 25th, 2010

It may only be February, but poker pros around the world are already laying claim to their spots at the top of the heap. The Bluff Magazine Player of the Year awards aren’t handed out for ten more months or so, but you can see where your favorite pro ranks right now.

Climbing into the top 10 for the first time, is poker pro Scott Clements. A consistent in-the-money finisher, he most recently made a final table appearance at the $1,500 NLHE event at the Commerce in Los Angeles. That result moved him up three spots from last week, into tenth place.

But don’t get too attached to any of these rankings, of course. Things can change pretty fast, especially this early in the year, and especially when the #2 player, Dan Shak, places in the money at the recent North American Poker Tour Venetian event.
