Phil Ivey Divorced
December 29th, 2009
Poker pro Phil Ivey divorced his wife of seven years today.
Arguably the best poker player on the planet, Phil Ivey, has been granted a divorce from his wife Luciaetta.
The two filed for divorce together on December 22 and the divorce was approved today in court with both Phil and Luciaetta present.
Luciaetta, Ivey’s high school sweetheart, locked the poker pro down back in 2002, the year Phil exploded onto the WSOP scene by winning three bracelets.
Ivey has a total of seven WSOP bracelets, one World Poker Tour title and more money than God. His almost $12,000,000 (including $1.4 million for his recent 7th place 2009 WSOP finish) lifetime poker tournament winnings don’t even scratch the surface of his gajillions in cash game winnings.
So far, cracks in the Cake Poker Central HQ have included such classy remarks as, “His wife left him after she mistook him for Tiger Woods.” And, “He left his wife when he found out she’d slept with Tiger Woods.”
