Nude Poker Tournament Coming to French Riviera

If you’ve ever played at a live poker tournament, you probably agree that seeing your fellow players naked is pretty much the last thing you’d ever want to do. But if you like your poker with beer guts, body hair and wieners and beans, you might want to book a ticket to France.

Cap d’Agde is one of the world’s most popular naturist resorts. Located on the French Riviera, this seaside community, um, swells to a population of 40,000 in the summmer. And pretty much all of those visitors take their clothes off as soon as they arrive, and don’t put them back on until check-out time. The resort features everything from restaurants to bars, to gyms and bakeries, all of which can be enjoyed au naturel.

And for those who are bored of all that nude volleyball, they’re about to host a big ol’ nude poker tournament. The idea is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the resort’s casino, and to draw attention to the naturist-friendly vibe. According to a somewhat inscrutable story about the tournament, it’s being done as a partnership between the Cap d’Agde casino and the Union of Professionals of Naturist Tourism.

There’s no word yet on tournament structure or buy-in. Hell, they haven’t even announced a date yet. But we can tell you that entrance to Cap d’Agde will cost you 150 Euros, plus your pants.
