Free Shipping Day 2009

If you’re like me, you haven’t even started thinking about Christmas shopping. It’s still months weeks days away, so what’s the rush, right? Well, if you’re planning to buy any presents online and you leave it much longer, you’ll be a bad Santa, and won’t actually get to hand out your gifts ’til some time in January. But as it turns out, some very smart person realized that lots of people procrastinate on their Christmas shopping, and so they invented Free Shipping Day.

It’s the day when hundreds of online retailers get together to not only offer free shipping, as the name would imply, but also guarantee delivery by Dec. 24th, Christmas Eve. So if you get your act together to take advantage of this whole thing, you’ll get your loved ones their presents on time and they won’t cry and yell at you for ruining Christmas. And by the way, it just so happens that Free Shipping Day 2009 is today.

I plan on taking advantage of it by buying a couple Christmas gifts for someone very special – myself. Both these products are available on sites that are part of the Free Shipping Day thing. And both are said to make multi-tabling at the online poker tables a whole lot easier. I’m way too slow-witted to actually multi-table when I play, but I figure it’ll impress my friends if I have the hardware that makes it look like I do it.
