Durrrr, Jungleman12 to Start New Challenge Soon
August 16th, 2010
It looks like a new edition of the Durrrr Challenge is just around the corner.
Tom Dwan’s first edition of the Durrrr Challenge may still be puttering along thanks to Patrik Antonius’ reluctance to get to the tables too often (or for too long), but that’s not stopping Dwan from lining up another opponent. In fact, it looks like the second challenge, with Dwan laying 2:1 odds that he’ll be ahead of his opponent after 50,000 hands of heads-up poker, will be starting up within the next week.
In chat with Daniel “jungleman12” Cates this Sunday, Dwan seemed to say that it wouldn’t be long at all before we finally get to see these two face off for 50,000 hands of high-stakes poker:
durrrr: did u send ivey $$ yet?
jungleman12: not yet
jungleman12: ill send now
jungleman12: how soon is soon?
durrrr: read ur phone…
jungleman12: ah i see
durrrr: few days at most
Cates then sent the money, which Dwan took as an opportunity for some light trash talk:
durrrr: then i can start talking &&%%
durrrr: since we’re booked
jungleman12: ?
durrrr: and say that its cute u think u’ll ever have an edge =)
jungleman12: lol
jungleman12: you never seemed like the type
durrrr: never wanna scare off the fish =)
durrrr: but if they escrow….
durrrr: haha ok
durrrr: lmk if u wanna play if not we’ll start in a few days
Without knowing either player’s schedule we can’t say exactly when they’ll get in the first of their 50,000 hands, but it looks like Jungleman12 and Durrrr will be at the tables firing off check-raises and three-barrel bluffs within the next week. And given the opening act it follows, this version of the Durrrr Challenge should be a breath of fresh air for all the railbirds who expected so much from Dwan-Antonius.
