Cake Poker’s No Strings Attached WSOP Qualifiers
March 19th, 2010
The Cake Poker CBO (Chief Brain of Operations) has revolutionized WSOP online qualifiers.
First of all, I need to come clean about something. Cake Poker is currently being run by a giant brain that was grown in a vat in a secret lab on the sea floor at undisclosed coordinates in the South Pacific.
Whew, it feels really good to get that off my chest. Now, onto the news.
The giant brain (see above) behind many of the recent brilliant ideas at Cake Poker has had yet another stroke of genius, this time with regards to WSOP Qualifiers.
The giant brain asked itself, “Giant Brain, if you won a seat to the most highly regarded poker tournament in the world, would you want somebody breathing down your neck, telling you what to wear, where to stay and what tournament you’re allowed to enter? No. No, I would not.”
Cake Poker has changed things up for their 2010 WSOP qualifiers. This year they let you win your way to Vegas and the WSOP without any obligations. Winning through Cake Poker means you aren’t forced to sign a contract agreeing to wear specific gear, or stay at a certain hotel, or even play in a specific event.
For example, if you win a $12,500 WSOP prize package, you can use it to play in one $5,000 event, one $2,500 event, two $1,000 events and still have $3,000 left over for travel and hotel. There are simply no strings attached to how you use your satellite winnings.
Once you’re in Vegas you’ll have free reign on where you stay and what you wear. You’ll still receive a Cake Poker gear pack, but it’s up to you if you want to wear it.
We know how important your trip to the WSOP is to you, so we don’t want to take anything away from you. We just want you to focus on your game and have fun.
